Ombudsman with IofC UK
The Diversity Working Group of Initiatives of Change UK recommended that the post of ombudsman should be created and this recommendation is now being implemented.
An ombudsman is an impartial person who aims to resolve disputes. His or her main role is to provide confidential and informal assistance to anyone within the IofC fellowship (this may include staff, management, volunteers or visitors). The ombudsman’s role is to serve the fellowship by protecting individuals who feel that they have been subjected to any kind of abuse, prejudice, bullying or other improper treatment or unfairness. The post is offered on a voluntary basis, with training costs and other expenses reimbursed.
To apply, please see the full job description here and send a short letter and statement of relevant experience by e-mail to secretary@london.iofc.org. This is an opportunity to play a vital role for the fellowship whose value is much greater than the limited time commitment would imply. Anyone interested should email Francis Evans.
